A Week in Wynnewood

We had a lovely week in Wynnewood doing some much-needed yard work, shoveling mulch, eating dinner on our deck, picnicking in the backyard and taking some family walks around the neighborhood. Oona continues to grow at a record pace and smile a lot, and Juliette is getting very good at skipping around everywhere and naming “opposites” of things.

Winslow also made a new dog friend named Stinky, a giant mutt we met in the woods on a walk. Winnie is not good with other dogs, but Stinky’s owner Bob assured me it would be fine. So I let my mongrel off the leash and after a little butt-sniffing and a feeling-out bark or two, Winnie realized there was no danger and made a new friend. It was awesome. I felt like a proud dad.

Winnie chased Stinky for a good 25 minutes while the bigger dog was hunting for groundhogs. Juliette was going bonkers with glee watching the two insanely fast dogs tear around through the brush, under trees and into the creek. Much fun, wish I had the camera!

Sad note, after 10 years of service our lawn mower finally went kaput. Photo below, exciting story here.

Fun fact: There is a bowl of cereal in my pocket (sans milk). Juliette tired of toting around her must-have bowl about two minutes into our trip.
