Goofy McToothy

Oona cut her first tooth today. I was putting Juliette to bed with Oona on my lap because the baby was fussing. I felt in her mouth to see if her gums were sore, and her bottom front gums seemed harder than usual. She started chomping hard on my finger and knuckle, and each bite felt a little bit sharper. Juliette and I turned on the light to look, and sure enough, a little white line glimmered in her lower gums.

Juliette and I took Oona down to show her tooth off to Jeff. Now we have another Goofy McToothy! I love that funny pumpkin smile babies have with just one or two teeth, but I’ll miss her sweet gummy grin too. She is growing up way too fast.
