Jeff and I are medium-sized people, but we seem to be growing some long, tall babies. Oona just had her four-month appointment, and she measured 27.4 inches long — that’s the 99.9th percentile. If you had 1,000 babies, she would be the very longest, according to growth charts.

My two beautiful girls are growing so fast, and the summer is going faster. Juliette is gaining on 3 1/2 and learning to ride a scooter and kick in the pool. We had a lovely week in Wynnewood doing some much-needed yard work, shoveling mulch, eating dinner on our deck, picnicking in the backyard and taking some family walks around the neighborhood. Oona continues to grow at a record pace and smile a lot, and Juliette is getting very good at skipping around everywhere and naming [...]

The Lyons-Andrews clan made another trek to Belmar for some Memorial Day fun joined by Grandma Nan, Grandpa Jack, Aunt Heather and Winslow. It was great to see our favorite Texans, Kath and Dave, who were in town to open many many wedding shower gifts. Kath loves attention, so this was especially fun for her.

Our yard backs up to a public park that forms a natural wildlife habitat, which can be a lovely thing. In the spring and summer, our back garden is very private, our koi pond is home to a red-eared slider and several unidentified black frogs, and a ruby-throated hummingbird lately has been hovers outsiding our dining room [...]

The brain trust behind Used Wigs Radio got together for a barbecue a couple weeks ago at the Hall-Marrone residence, and Jeff, Todd, and Russ were there too. In preparation, Oona rehearsed her newest trick — smiling!
